Infliximab, a monoclonal anti-TNFalpha antibody:
 
Which of the following answers are correct?
1. Consists of a murine antihuman TNF monoclonal antibody attached to a human IgG1, therefore being approximately 5% mouse and 95% human.

 
2. It has been shown that after administration of Infliximab (5mg/kg) at 0.2 and 6 weeks a reduction of draining fistula could be acchieved in 68% (placebo 26%) and closure of all fistula in 55% (placebo 13%).

 
3. Common side effects include skin irritation, headache, upper respiratory tract infections and unspecific gastrointestinal symptoms. The main concern, however are the developement of HACA's (human antichimeric antibodies).

 
4. Infliximab has a long half life (approx 9.5 days) and can be detected in serum up to 8 weeks.

 
5. In an individual with active symptomatic Crohn's disease who requires corticosteroids and still has active disease, the use of infliximab is appropriate to initiate concomitantly with an immunosuppressant (such as azathioprine).
